Residents of Oak Creek Canyon
Residents Blog ~ to Come
We've put a lot of thought into the content of this site but one of our primary considerations was you, the resident. You are a stake holder in our beloved Oak Creek Canyon, and our cause is your cause.
We want your voice to be heard, and we invite you to participate in protecting the Canyon, and the
integrity of Oak Creek, by letting us know your concerns; your solutions for problems you perceive; your feedback on how we are doing.
We will publish your thoughts on the Residents Blog, with your permission. You should address an email to residentsblog@occtf.org.
NOVEMBER 2008 ANNOUNCEMENT
West Fork Trail Temporary Closures Read about it HERE.
Red Rock District News Update 11/21/08: The West Fork Trail (Call of the Canyon) located in the upper portion of Oak Creek Canyon along Hwy 89A is scheduled for an additional week of closure beginning Monday, December 1 through Friday December 5.
This is one of several temporary closures scheduled over the past several weeks to allow for completion of West Fork Trail reconstruction and improved accessibility to the West Fork Bridge. West Fork remains open weekends and during the Thanksgiving week. This project is being accomplished through a partnership with Recreation Resource Management, Arizona State Parks and the Coconino National Forest.
We want this site to be a place where you can find out what is happening in Oak Creek Canyon.
We'll post event information...example... what's happening at Slide Rock... or we want you to let us know if your community, or property owners association, is holding an event you'd like to publicize even if it's just for them. This is your Canyon, and this is your site as well.
Please visit it often, and do drop us a note.
Your support is highly valued, and together we ARE making a difference.
